Wine Country Ontario invites consumers to experience and learn why 100% locally-grown Vintner’s Quality Alliance (VQA) wines taste better. The event features Ontario’s wine regions with samples from Cave Springs Winery. (Minimum age requirement for taste-testing: 21) Details here.

An enlightening discussion about innovation synergies between Canada and Pennsylvania in the oil and gas sectors, with a particular focus on the oil sands of Alberta and the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. Leading companies will give examples of new sustainable technologies in the industry in the framework of both jurisdictions sharing similar industry challenges such as water management and carbon emissions.

4:30pm-7pm:  Power Perspectives: Electricity and Clean Technologies in Ontario and Quebec

Featuring keynote remarks by The Honorable William Peduto, Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh

Both provinces continue to promote and support the widespread use of renewable energy sources, such as hydropower and wind. As Ontario modernizes its electricity system through smart grids and pilot projects tackling issues such as system congestion, Quebec is actively looking toward the electrification of its transportation sector and other GHG-reducing programs, and has a vibrant clean-tech sector.

1:30pm-3:30pm:  Pittsburgh Penguins Autographs

Penguins star defenseman Kris Letang and leftwinger Pascal “Duper” Dupuis will stop by Pop Up Canada to sign autographs from 1:30-2:30. Then from 2:30-3:30, coach Jacques Martin will stop by. Bring your jerseys, hats, sticks, posters, or (almost) anything else for them to sign.

3pm-6pm:  Seminar: Québec/Pennsylvania – The Power of Innovative Partnerships

Discover how collaborating with Quebec could add value to your business!
