A Warm Welcome from Canadian Consul General John F. Prato

john-f-prato-high-res-304 As Canada’s representative to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I am thrilled to highlight the Canada-Pennsylvania relationship through Pop-Up Canada. And I am happy to report that this relationship is thriving.

You may know that Canada is the Keystone state’s No. 1 customer. In fact, Pennsylvania sells more goods to Canada — almost $12 billion — than its next four largest foreign markets combined. Nearly 22,000 Pennsylvanians are employed by Canadian-owned businesses. Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania are intrinsic to this relationship.

From energy and security to tourism and trade, Pennsylvanians and Canadians share common interests, values, and goals. We are neighbours, allies, and friends. I hope you’ll join us in celebrating this unique relationship.  John Prato
